How Do I Get Emergency Dental Care?
It’s generally better to call a dentist instead of the emergency room when you have an urgent dental problem. Your dentist will be better equipped to handle infected, damaged, or knocked-out teeth as well as various other oral health issues. When you call our office for emergency dental care, we will make arrangements to see you as soon as we can so that we can identify the source of the problem and create an effective treatment plan.
Please note that you should call 911 if you have a life-threatening issue, which can include:
- A jaw that has become dislocated or fractured.
- Bleeding of the mouth that won’t stop even after you put pressure on it.
- Oral swelling that’s making it hard to breathe or swallow.
How Do I Find the Best Place to Get Dental Work Done?
Before you can answer the question of “Which dentist is right for me?”, you need to figure out what you’re looking for. Do you need a practice that takes your dental insurance plan? How close should the dental office be to your home? Are there any services you need beyond routine checkups and cleanings? Figure out what’s important to you in order to get an idea of the kind of practice you’re looking for. When looking at a specific dentist, take the time to read their online biography as well as any reviews they’ve received.
How Much Does a Dental Checkup & Cleaning Cost in Fort Worth, TX?
As you can probably guess, the cost of a dental checkup and cleaning can vary depending on what practice you go to. Note that the overall health of your mouth can sometimes make a difference. Your dental insurance plan may cover most of the cost (if not the full cost) of a routine checkup and cleaning; double-check your benefits to make sure that you understand them.
